I made this card for a holiday swap. I am SO NOT ready for summer to be over so I had a really hard time coming up with a Christmas card. I like the simplicity of this card. I embossed the Happiest Of Holidays image with black craft and clear embossing powder. I was going to use just black embossing powder with Versamark but felt it was too messy and spotty and noticable, so I used clear instead.. not as shiny black, but it does the job. I colored the image with watercolor crayons and then used a Gold Pen to draw the border around it and the little swirly parts in it. I really like the way the gold pen worked with the embossing... it sort of looks like saudered gold or stained glass edging or something... I don't know what it would be called. : )

I know what you mean about coming up with ideas for Christmas cards in the middle of the summer. I was struggling with that very problem today too!
This is a very classy card. Great job.

Lovely card! I'm not ready for summer to be over either but this card almost makes me want to go downstairs and get started on my Christmas cards. I love the gold gel pen accents!
