 | | I was inspired by the unique layout on this fabulous card from Penny Strawberry. I absolutely adore the double sided pattern paper that was used:
Linda Kraft's Birthday 2026 by Penny Strawberry at Splitcoaststampers
I had never seen this pinched paper layout before and went on the hunt for some tutorials for it. After watching several, I made my first attempt.
I wanted to make a card for someone who has won local county fairs with her homemade pies. I chose double sided paper with flowers on one side and a gingham pattern on the other side. The checked paper reminds me of a tablecloth for a picnic table!
I assembled the pinched paper panel and then added two layered circles to hide the folds in the center. I stamped, colored, and fussy cut the bear so there would be no white border. I stamped the sentiment and cut around it with scissors, following the swoops of the letters. |
