F4A848 Paint Theme 5.22.26
CC1106 A Real Afternoon & Night (05-26-26)
I had this stamp selected for last week's Free 4 All challenge, but had not colored it yet. When I saw this week's color challenge, I knew I had to go in that direction - I love any variation of red, white, and blue together! Plus the dessert option of making a masculine card works perfectly since I need a birthday card for my nephew who is turning 21 next week.
This is a large image, so I kept things simple, letting the gnome take center stage. I appreciate how thick the lines of the design are, which means less mishaps when coloring with markers. I used a navy colored marker for the shoes, trim and tassel on the hat, and the handle of the paintbrush. I used red for the hat and sleeve, and the lighter blue for the paint and all its drips and splotches. There are some patches on the hat that I masked off, so that the paint splotch was more prominent.
I used a stitched arch die to cut out the focal panel and added to a navy cardstock background. There was very little space for a sentiment since I didn't want to cover any part of the gnome, so I used a small circle die and navy ink.

Mer, this is a great gnome and I love that you did it for the last F4A challenge. That sentiment is so sweet and goes so well with this really fun gnome. Fab card. Hugz

Very cute! In my opinion, the arch die is the perfect shape to frame your gnome.
