Thank you to Nancy aka nwilliams6 for hosting the Free 4 All Friday Challenge this week. Theme: Paint
Well... I've been doing a LOT of painting lately (she smiles). And in case you think I've completely stopped creating cards that would be a Nope!
One of my all time favorite stamp companies is Penny Black. In fact, before I ever had a gallery on Splitcoaststampers I created a card from a block stamp, "Reach for the Stars." I love that stamp today as much as I did back then. Classic and timeless is how I'd describe this new transparent trio of long slender blossoms because there are so many ways to design a card with them (or even a bookmark) and they'll never go out of style. I also used a new die frame called, Gentle Swell - oooh ladies, I really like this one. Any time I can put a little gold on a card I do.
The pretty pop of pink on this card is a nice contrast to the white and makes it a nice CAS design.
I'm also entering this card into the Thursday Challenge, WT1106 - Thank a Caregiver. It is my sincere hope it will bring a smile to my friends face. Both our husbands are suffering with dementia. Dementia and Alzheimers does not pick or choose, it can happen to anyone and it is truly the long good-bye.
Ordinary Day? I think not - not when I can sit down and create a card with you in mind.
I hope you have a blessed weekend. Do remember our veterans this Memorial Day and say a prayer for our country. And if you have some time left over after all the BBQ's go create something that makes your heart sing!
Until next time

What a stunner! I agree with you, Penny Black is my fav too.
I also agree with you about dementia, so very challenging and so heartbreaking.
Well done to you and your friend. Hugs and more hugs.

Susie, this is gorgeous in so many ways. Especially in that you created it for your sweet friend. That flower and frame are exquisite. So glad you still make cards. Extra hugz to you taking care of your husband - my heart goes to you and your friend and your husbands.
We definitely need to be saying prayers for our country, world peace, and all those who have lost loved ones in the service.

I love your delicate blooms and heartfelt sentiment framed so beautifully! Thank you for sharing about your husband and your friend's husband having dementia. I hope that having each other is a great support. I love this line from your post:
"Ordinary Day? I think not - not when I can sit down and create a card with you in mind." I think that would make a great card sentiment! I may have to do just that!"

Made from the heart. This is beautiful in so many ways. Love the delicacy of the frame and butterfly. The painting of the image sends it to another level. Glad you had time to create. TFS
