Sharing my Italian heritage with Judi DeFrancesco.
Sadly, the rubber on my old Sophia Loren stamp has dried up. I thought I would try inking up my small gel plate with some tattered rose distress ink, and then stamping Sophia with the walnut Oxide, laying the paper on top, rubbing and pulling the print. Not nearly as crisp, and showing her age, but still a beauty and now reversed. I added a little watercolor markers to her hair. I heat embossed all the candy, now shiny and fussy cut them out. I gave Sophia a brown border and put her atop a vintage marbled paper saved from a book from the early 1900's. I thought it looked like nougat. The sentiment is also heat embossed and a lacy die cut border added to the feminine look.

Wow! So much thought went into this design. I LOVE Sophia Loren- what a beauty. That horizontal paper panel from the old book is super beautiful and is just the perfect addition. I know one Italian girl who is gonna love this. Thanks for joining in.

She still looks fabulous and this is a wonderful card, Lori, and a true statement (although some of us might wish we could cut down on our chocolate - my doctor told me to just last week - lol). Super card with your very cool artistic touches and love. Hugz

Wow, what an awesomely creative and clever card! I love how you revived Sophia's image! (Couldn't you just cry when a favorite stamp turns to rubber dust?) Love the sentiment, too!

Some sumptuous images there -- classic Sophia and fabulous chocolates. And I totally agree with that quote! Fun card especially for a person who loves desserts.
