 | | Today I'm hosting the Mix-Ability challenge with an art style that gained traction in the 1960's called maximalism.
I used artist Jamie Curtismith as my inspiration for this card. I was drawn to the canvas skins with dense patterns and angular shifts. I added a wave look for my design with a stash of monoprint papers. I grabbed some stamps to look through, and it was the lightbulb from an old Illustrated Faith set that caught my eye. Never have I ever been stumped for a sentiment. I searched through every filing of stamps for any type of wording to go with my new creation. It was the last bin of stamps where I found a vase bouquet and the sentiment I used.
I look forward to seeing what every created for the MIX693: Maximalism in CAS.
Thanks for staying to the end with me in my lengthy description. |
