 | | This may push the boundaries for CAS a bit, but I'm still working with the supplies I brought with me for our mountain escape. Today's challenge is to use a die on our cards.
These two cards were in the pile of incomplete cards I brought along to work on - they needed sentiments and the insides finished. I can happily say that they are now complete! I'll admit it again, I don't know why I had so many cards in a half-done state but I've made great progress on my stack.
One will be given to a longtime friend who is coming to visit later today. The colours on these cards match perfectly with a mug I bought for my friend at a wonderful little store in Banff. Serendipitous indeed.
I love it when I can get 'two-for-one' cards from dies. I cut the Flourishing Frame die out of white and cherry cobbler and inset the die-cut frames into to the opposite colour negative pieces. For the backing I cut DSP from a pack of gorgeous papers I found at a local dollar store. The flower and sentiment are from one of my beloved Verve stamp sets called Kind Words. Ta da! Two cards that were languishing in a state of incompleteness are now finished. Go me!
