It spoke to me as a tribute (also the name of his boat) to what would have been my darling John's 78th birthday. He loved to sail at our local Fern Ridge Reservoir and in the San Juan Islands.
I simply swiped several shades of blues onto a gel plate and spritzed with water before pulling the print. I repeated the process, added more colors here and there. I also sponged some white and darker blue where I thought it needed it. I used a WC marker to fill in the sails and the boat. I heat embossed the truest sentiment. Framed it in dark blue and then a rarely used mauve colored CS. |
