Today I have a fun birthday card in shades of purples using today's sketch just shifted to portrait orientation and this week's alphabet challenge M for monochrome which I chose shades of purple. I took a piece of Orchid Opulence card stock and stenciled it with balloons using Orchid Opulence, Highland Heather, and Gorgeous Grape. I then stamped a couple of balloon stamps on it for more texture using those same ink colors.
After cutting the panel into four sections, I added them to my card base, stamped and heat embossed the sentiment, die cut the balloon around it and popped it up with foam tape adding a silver cord for the balloon string. At this point, I was regretting not splattering the stenciled panel before cutting it apart so decided to do it now. I covered the white margins and the sentiment with low tack tape and splattered with a couple different shades of purple. To splatter or not? I did this time.
Thanks for the challenges and thanks for looking!
