WT1100 FS1000 Be Still
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: Isaiah40:31

This card is for the WT1100 challenge to use Wise Words on our card. It is also a nod to the 1000th Featured Stamper - lamoore - who has a wonderfully diverse gallery to choose from. And since I used a Bible verse as my "Wise Words" I'm including it in the BVC26.

When packing my limited supplies for our month in the mountains, I grabbed a container full of die cut pieces, random scraps and embossed panels. Whenever I get new die, I run it through my Big Shot two or three times just to make sure it cuts properly. Sometimes those pieces rest in my stash for a while waiting for attention.

This shiny card front was hiding away in my box of goodies, along with a random piece of dsp that looked good as a background. I found some matching cardstock on which to stamp my verse from the Greetery. I die cut it three times to pop it up a bit. Everything I used has been in my 'collection' for at least four years - USEIT2026.

The inside says:

That I am God. Psalm 46:10
Rest in the knowledge that the God of the universe cares for you.

My card is rather loosely based on this card by Claudette: Emerging Spring

I'm hoping I can find a better location or time of day to take pics of any cards I might create while here. So far they are much darker than I would like.

Thanks for taking a peek.

The die-cut in this shiney paper looks amazing. Terrific paper behind it, too. I like how you die-cut the beginning of the verse and continued it on the inside. So creative and meaningful. Big impact inside and out. Good for you using up some of your stash!

That's my sister-in-law's fave verse. She'd love that card, all in her colours.
(PS Your comment about the loonies, toonies, and kiwi was spot on! 😁)

Gorgeous card. LOVE how you carefully assembled the negative parts of your die cut on the . It is so stunning! The shimmering die look looks so lovely against the bg. A wonderful sentiment to go with your image.

Really pretty. The background paper you used really does suggest a forest.

The metallic aspen panel is absolutely striking, and the way you paired it with that soft, woodsy background gives the whole design a peaceful, grounded feel. The layered die‑cut sentiment has such presence, and the continuation of the verse inside makes the message even more powerful. A beautiful blend of wise words, thoughtful stash‑use, and a wonderfully serene mountain‑studio creation.
