WT1099 Scrappy Vase of Flowers
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: ruby-heartedmom

Oh, no, y'all! I'm about to flood this gallery...I've been using up scraps all week...these scraps are kind of stealth (or you might say an illusion).

The vase is paper pieced from a gel printing scrap. The Peacock strip on the left was a scrap of my granddaughter's fingerpainting. The colors were close, but not perfect...so I used the Direct to Paper method and covered it with Pretty Peacock ink. You can see the fingerpainted swirls.

Very pretty card, Beverly! I like the vase of flowers and the strip on the left is cool! How fun that it was from your granddaughter's finger-painting time!

Such a clever mix of scraps here—the gel‑printed vase has so much depth, and pairing it with that finger‑painted strip gives the whole design a playful, organic energy. The way you unified the colors with Pretty Peacock ink is such a smart touch, letting those original swirls peek through while keeping everything cohesive. A wonderful example of how scraps can shine, and thank you for joining in my challenge.

That feel gel print scrap gives a wonderfully textured look to your pretty vase.
