Our challenge is to use a rarely used or new stamp. You can find that challenge here. CAS891 - Rarely Used or New Stamp - March 23, 2026 by Shoe Girl at Splitcoaststampers
The stamp I used is one of my favorite old, wood mount PSX stamps. I don't use it often, but I love it so much I can't get rid of it.
I stamped in Memento tuxedo black ink. The image was colored with Derwent watercolor pencils. Then I used a blender pen to blend the light and dark colors of the flowers and leaves. I used a fancy, old-fashioned looking die to cut out the image. I added small hearts from an embossing folder to complete the card.

Beautiful image, wonderful colouring, fantastic frame and perfectly finished with tiny little hearts. Growing up we had a huge bleeding heart in our yard and my Mom used to tell us the story of the bleeding heart over and over and over again. Still a tradition - only now it's me telling the story to my grandsons. :-)

I have this lovely Bleeding Hearts stamp, too, and you gave it a beautiful setting and design. All those textures and tone on tone colors are so effective.

The soft watercoloring on this classic PSX image feels so natural and true to the flower, and the gentle blending gives each heart such depth. The ornate die frame suits the vintage style perfectly, and the tiny embossed hearts are a sweet, subtle finishing touch that ties everything together beautifully.
