 | | Congrats to Sara aka Mrs.Q this week's Featured Stamper. I chose her Hello card. First because I liked the watery bg and second because of the white outline feathers floating down. My OCD makes it VERY hard for me to stamp an image and NOT color it, so my personal challenge is to stamp and let something alone . . .
Things I changed: Different colors, butterflies instead of feathers, sequins instead of dew drops, different sentiment
I started with my watercolor panel wetting the entire piece then randomly dropping in Royal Blue and watered down Rose. Set aside to let them run and blend as they wanted. Once dry, I stamped butterflies over the bg and embossed with snow white powder. I cut this panel with a Matinee Layers die. I wanted another framing layer but didn't want it to be a clone of the WC panel. I found one of the first punches I ever bought (so used I had rubbed off both the mfg and pic) Cut a hot pink panel and punched the corners which lined up nicely with the cuts from the WC piece.
I die cut my sentiment and while I did resist the urge to color the butterflies, I ended up adding a bunch of clear iridescent sequins for some sparkle. |
