I'd been using gold acrylic for something and had squeezed out more than I needed, so I brushed the excess onto a piece of heavy white card. Casting around for ideas for the challenge some days later, I thought I could paint over it and mark it while the top coat was still wet. DH really liked the results, and says I can use his comb any time, even though I didn't quite get all the dark blue paint off, LOL.
I wanted to leave as much as possible showing, so I just added a fish from Fishy Friends coloured with Twinkling H2Os, and some seaweed cut from scraps. The frame was cut from a mixed media background and I dry-embossed the stitched rectangle into the base as an extra frame. |
