I figured I'd make a quick card this morning. But then I got carried away. For today's Tea Party, we are sending paper hugs to Rita who is dealing with cancer. Sabrina has challenged us to add teal ribbon to our card. So I cheated and added teal as a color to this week's color challenge which is white, silver, and navy. This does look more navy IRL. I figured those were good colors for a snowman card. So I inked up this cute Unity snowman for the first time ever. I colored him with Copics, fussy cut, and glittered him up. I used last week's sketch for inspiration, and went digging through my background drawer to use up some of my backgrounds I have stored up. I apparently used silver paint through a star stencil at some point. This blue background is the negative of that. I also had some white cardstock that I had swiped silver paint onto. But that was a little boring. So I stamped some snowflakes on the circle piece and made myself some homemade texture paste to add snowflakes to the other piece. Well. Then I had texture paste made and didn't want it to go to waste. So now I have like eight new things to add to my background drawer.

All your work and resourceful has generated a fantastic little snowman beauty! There is so much to take in! What a fantastic background. I love that you have a backgrounds stash!! You’ll have to ink up this image often now that you know what spectacular cards it makes with you at the creative helm.

Cute snowman, and I do like the way you used staples. It sounds as if you did manage at least to use something from your background stash even if you also added to it. That silver and blue star background is wonderful. I love his little sparkly green buttons.
And there's no way, if you had time to make texture paste and let it dry, that this was ever remotely going to be a quick card, LOL. I hope you get some fun crafty time in over the break - although I suspect your break is probably a lot shorter than the holidays over here.
Well... at least you were productive! ;0) It's almost like meal prepping, but for cards. This is so pretty. Love every detail. The way your ribbon falls, (where the sentiment is) it almost creates a mountain in my mind.

I think background making projects tend to go down that rabbit hole always... you have to use up all the "ink/paint/paste" this is so fun, I love that this snowman has such a cool hat and how you colored and shined it all as well.
