WT1083 Roasted Pecans

WT1083 = Pine

Every December I roast many pounds of raw pecan halves. I do it in the manner my late MIL taught me. Most are put into containers and given as gifts during the holiday season. Couldn't find the decorative tins this year. Rubbermaid came out with plastic containers that were the right size and had pretty subdued green lids. To dress it up a bit, I made a red paper ribbon and a topper with Greetery stamps and dies.

Oh my goodness, those sound tasty. I know walnuts are probably better in terms of how good they are for you, but I far prefer pecans and roast sounds delicious. You did well finding a suitable replacement container (that might get more future use than a tin too!), and dressed them up beautifully. What a lovely shape of die.

Pecans are one of my favorite nuts, Sallie. What a special way to decorate your container! It looks so festive, especially with the added fake snow! I also like the 8-sided figure as the base with the pretty snowflakes on it. What a great idea for a gift~

Leave it to you, Sallie, to come up with the perfect topper to take these otherwise ordinary containers over the top. I love the peppermint candy layer, and pine sprigs lend such a festive warmth to anything they adorn. You are such a creative soul. The wonderful roasted gift sounds as delightful as the topper is!
