 | | My card is for the Color Challenge hosted by Barbara. Her terrific colors are Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, and Real Red with snowman for the dessert option. I am also submitting my card for this week's CAS Challenge - Do you want to build a snowman.
I started with this friendly group of snow people. I colored with a variety of markers, blends markers and a blender pen & ink. The spots to color are very small, so I could only use the small tip of the markers. I colored with Pumpkin Pie ink on the carrot noses and some of the lightbulbs. The top hat was colored with neutral Smokey Slate and the mistletoe above the last one was colored with neutral Mossy Meadow. The rest was colored Real Red or Pool Party.
The sentiment was stamped and die-cut into a circle, the shape of a snowball. I used each of the challenge colors on the sentiment coordinating the color with a word. The circle was popped up.
The image was cut into a strip and the edges were sponged with Pool Party. The card base was covered with a DSP. A section of shimmer paper was glued down and the image strip was adhered on top. The sentiment is: The chill of winter is warmed by friendship.
Final touches were die-cut snowflakes from the shimmer paper and Wink of Stella on the snow line, snowballs & lightbulbs. Fun card to make.
We hope you will join in with the snowball fight I mean, the challenges and create with these colors and theme. Have fun! TFL |
