Mary is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us two pretty shades of pink as part of her palette. The colors are Pretty in Pink, Bubble Bath, and Mossy Meadow, with the dessert option of gold sequins or dots.
A floral design for a birthday is always a winner, and these pretty shades of pink said "flowers" to me. I die cut the flowers from both shades of pink, then ink blended with the same colors to give the flowers a little depth. I die cut the leaves and stems from Mossy Meadow cardstock, but I decided it was too dark and too monochromatic, so I cut again from white cardstock and ink blended with Mossy Meadow ink. I like the slight variation in shades with that technique.
I stamped the script background with Bubble Bath ink on Bubble Bath cardstock and glued to a white card base. Then I die cut the arch shape, gave it some riges and popped that up on foam tape. Then I arranged my flowers and leaves, glued some down and used foam tape on some, added a bow, and popped up the greeting. Added a few gold glitter drops for dessert, and it was done!
Whether you use these pretty colors for a floral design or for something else, please play along with us this week and show off your creation in the gallery!

What a Beautiful arrangement of blooms, Barbara! The leaves look wonderful, and I like the variation of color on them too. I Love script on cards, so that's a winner in my book. Well done~

This is so pretty Barbara. I love the die cut floral arrangement and your die cut leaves and stems. Ink blending them was a creative idea. The arch for the arrangement looks great.

Fantastic design with the challenge colors! We both made a birthday card with a die-cut arch; great minds think alike. You took your design above and beyond. Wonderful bouquet of flowers and a terrific sentiment. Love it all!

How did I miss this card with the beautiful flower die cuts and wonderful script background? I don't know but glad I looked back and saw it. I love your sweet bow, also.
