 | | Congrats to Katherine (katherinerock) on being this week's Featured Stamper. I chuckled when I came across this Christmas in July card and I knew it was the one I wanted to case.
Things I changed: Snowman instead of penguin, hand sketched & watercolored image instead of die cuts, added a die cut edge and different DSP & sentiment. No cording or twine.
I kept the stack of snowballs and speech bubble.
I decided a snowman having a snowball fight could be fun, too, since he is made of giant snowballs! So. . . I sketched my guy on watercolor paper then got out my brushes & paint. I haven't done this kind of painting in a LONG time so I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. Once everything was dry I spattered some white and added crystal snow. Die cut my painting with matinee layers and sponged the edge with Royal Blue and finished with a stack of snowballs.
I offset my painting on polka dot DSP and finished with a fussy cut speech bubble.
