 | | Diane is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us some luscious colors to play with: Peach Pie, Petunia Pop, and Old Olive. The dessert option is twine, but I just could not find a place on this card for twine, so no dessert for me this week!
One of the women in my Lacemaking group had back surgery a few days ago. This card will go to her with signatures of many of the members. She does so much needlework of every kind, I thought this quilt design would work well for her. I used the three challenge colors to create my quilt, added a get well sentiment, and a few enamel dots, and it was done.
I am so sad that My Favorite Things has gone out of business. I have always enjoyed the Blueprints series of dies, and this is a good example of why--not only all the quilt shapes, but the scalloped layer and the greeting banner--all from the same set. RIP MFT, but I'll keep loving and using your products!
Come join us in the Gallery this week, and let's see what you can do with these pretty colors!
