 | | A few months ago, I received some wonderfully funny stamped sentiments as a Tea Party Tickle. So, when Nancy challenged us to make cards with "snark", I immediately thought of them.
I chose the sentiment first, and decided to search my "Surreal People" ephemera book to find an image to go with it. This lady looked like she was having a hard day, and also like she might have an imaginary friend, so I fussy cut her out.
After a little experimentation, I decided she looked good against this black lace patterned paper, which I think originally came in a Halloween collection. I glued her down, and pressed her under a book while I framed the sentiment with black cardstock. Then I assembled everything.
A pretty simple card, but I like the way it turned out, and it was so fun to finally use one of the humorous sentiments. Now I just need to decide who to send this to. |
