Our challenge today is to honor Polly. She was an amazing part of this site. The card I chose to make from Polly's gallery is this one. WT998 A Plaid Hello by peeps321 at Splitcoaststampers
I use the Pocket Front Card Tutorial found here:Pocket Front Card Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
I made two cards because Polly loved to use cute characters on her cards as well.
The plaid card I changed the colors so it is more a masculine card and instead of using the pocket for my die cuts like Polly did, I put my die cuts on the front.
I stamped off three times before I stamped my leaf on the circle to give it texture. Then I stamped full strength for the sentiment. I attached the pieces together with glue dots then added it to the card with adhesive.

Fabulous cards and a wonderful tribute to Polly's. I always delight in seeing two cards with the same design but different elements and how that changes the look and feel of a card. These two couldn't be more different: cute and whimsical v. elegant and mature. These are both winners.

Wow, you did two, Sue. Both are fabulous. I love the card shape and your fun details - especially on the Easter card. The silver leaves are super elegant. Wonderful tributes to sweet Polly and two great cards. Hugz

Polly did have some wonderful plaid papers and I was the lucky recipient of some of those springtime cards. The whimsical Easter card definitely has a "Polly" feel but I do like the grown-up sophisticated version with the beautiful silver leaf spray, too.

I agree with Debbie -- it's so fun to see two cards with the same design and a totally different look. The cute animals were the perfect choice for Polly.
