Happiness is the theme for today. Thank you Faith for this challenge.
Butterflies in the garden always make me happy. Their beauty is astonishing and they come in so many lovely colors. I am just now having my backyard landscaped and I can hardly wait to see what winged visitors might be attracted to these colorful plantings.
I saw a card created by Tammy Wilson (Stamps, Paper, Scissors) where she had used an embossing folder as the base layer and overlaid it with a stamped and torn top layer. Thank you to Tammy for her inspiration.

This is so pretty. I especially like the delicate blue and the clever use of the pink sequins. The torn paper looks good. I remember we tore paper all the time when I started making cards, and it went out of fashion. You've inspired me to use torn edges again.

Beautiful card! I love butterflies, too. Last year when I was recovering from foot surgery, I was confined to the upstairs of the house - unable to navigate the stairs. For six long weeks in early spring, I sat by the window in my office and for a couple of weeks, a beautiful mourning cloak butterfly would flutter around just outside the window. I don't see them very often around here, so it was pretty exciting - a real day brightener :-)

The delicate layers of torn paper and the embossed base create such a beautifully textured design. The choice of pastel tones and butterfly accents perfectly captures the serenity and beauty of a garden in spring. This card truly radiates happiness and hope.

Absolutely gorgeous CAS design. We don't get a while variety of colourful butterflies here, but I have seen some beautiful ones in Greece. I hope you have a summer full of them in your new garden.
