Alphabet Challenge Round 22:
For this challenge round, we are to pick one element from the supplied list that starts with the week's letter and include a second element of our choosing that also starts with the week's letter.
For week 3 for the letter "C", the supplied choices are:
crayon, curves, Copic
I selected curves and added cow as my own choice.
For curves, I was immediately reminded of this half circle technique that was very popular several years ago, which I have always wanted to try. This is my first time attempting it, and I love how it came out. So much so, that I made a second card using the technique for this week's color challenge.
For this card, I started with the heart patterned paper and layered this onto black cardstock. I selected three colors of solid cardstock to match the colors of the hearts, and I selected three sizes of stitched circle dies. I die cut the circles, cut them in half with my paper trimmer, and layered these together. This makes a "swoosh" when the two parts are stacked.
I cut a long white strip for the sentiment and to hide the seam where the two parts meet. I stamped the punny sentiment and adhered all pieces onto a card base. I stamped, colored, and die cut the cow and added him as the final element. |
