 | | For the Featured Stamper Challenge to honor cj nalley. I was inspired by this one.
September birthday card by cj nalley at Splitcoaststampers
CJ sent this card to me and I must say it is even more stunning in person. I have it on the shelf over my working desk, as I planned to case it. Today is the day!
Changes: I used the same stamp set with a different greeting, colored with Blends markers instead of direct to stamp method. I decided to do layers instead of the cute book fold that CJ used. I changed colors but used similar ones.
I cut my pearlized Specialty DSP and thought about what would be "wasted" under the white panel, so I cut it out the middle with a postage die. Then the lightbulb went on and I die-cut the white panel with the same die. When gluing to the card base, I inlaid the white panel into the petunia frame. I stamped and die-cut the sentiment. Finishing touch was Wink of Stella on the flowers and butterfly.
Thank you, CJ for sharing your amazing cards with us and for inspiring me today!
