Mary is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us some beautiful colors to work with: Boho Blue, Calypso Coral, and Pecan Pie. The dessert option this week is DS (Designer Series/printed) paper. Always up for dessert, I pulled out my pack of Flight and Airy paper and decided on a "Double Z" fold card.
There are lots of tutorials online for this clever fold, but my favorite is from Lisa Curcio, and she even has a free downloadable .pdf with cutting and folding directions. Thank you, Lisa!
I chose the pair of birds from one of the DS papers, adhered it to a layer of white cardstock for stability, then fussy cut it out, and popped it up on Dimensionals.
This anniversary card is going to my friend in SC, who has been my BFF for over sixty years, and to her sweet hubby!

Your friend and her hubby are going to love this card. You've made beautiful use of the patterned paper without allowing the card to get busy, which I think can sometimes be a drawback of DSP. Those little fussy cut lovebirds really make a perfect anniversary card, don't they? I think I'm going to have to check out Lisa's tutorial on this one.

So pretty Barbara- I love fun fold cards and you created a great one. I have never tried this fold but I am going to use the tutorial. We are on the same wavelength again this week (lol)!!!
