This is a "great minds" moment. I just watched a tutorial yesterday about using masking fluid to keep the white areas and highlights when painting a sea shell. I downloaded the photograph of the shell so I could try it and voila! it came up in the WCW today.

A very pretty shell...makes me want to put it to my ear and listen. Perfectly colored and I like you kept the white part white after removing the masking fluid.

This is lovely, Pat! Such a beautiful blend of browns & tans in that shell. Artful use of darks and lights to give the illusion of roundness in the shape.
