I have an old Dr. Seuss book, "Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb," which I've been using to create a mixed media book/journal. It has been a fun journey of exploring mixed media and altered art.
To start this page, I masked off the monkey and drum and started experimenting with stencils and acrylic paint to create a background. Next, I used the Washi Tape Inlay technique to create my colorful birds, adding tiny black gems for eyes. I used some fuzzy yarn to add texture to the striped grass area the grass area. So much fun!

What a fab MM piece Gracie. I love that you took part of your Dr Seuss book and altered it. Those birds with the wash tape inlay are so cute, and the yarn for the grass is so creative. Thanks for the MMJ Challenge. I finished mine yesterday but can't post it yet. Happy day
