MMJ124 Who's the Polar Bear?
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: JRHolbrook

I created this page for the January's MMJ Mixed Media challenge.

I started out creating a gel print and, then, just started adding items from my stash. I had lots of fun just kind of going with the flow...whatever popped into my head as I looked through my drawers of bits and pieces. I used dies for polar bear and hearts. I added silver stickles glitter to a couple hearts and made some "glitter dot" lines. I stamped the sentiment on the blue heart. We were to add something strange to our creation...if you ask me, the whole thing is pretty strange! Anyway I added a strip of silver sequins.

I've been in a crafting funk since my knee surgery, so I just let loose and began creating. Thanks for a fun challenge Jayne!

It's called 'throwing things to see what sticks.' I love it, I see lots of joyful creating in this one. I'm working on sorting my ephemera, backgrounds, etc. Huge job!!!!!!

Gracie, I am soooo happy to see you creating again and wow what fun you had creating this beauty. I love the fact that you just went with the flow and I think that is what our challenges in MMJ are about. To just use some of the prompts and do what brings you joy.
Your creation looks full of joy. I love the gelli print that you made and all of the elements you used. The image goes perfectly with your sentiment. You say the whole thing looks strange but I see lots of sparkle and fun. I thought the layers were torn out of notebooks. The addition of the dots makes it look like pages taken from a notebook.
Keep taking small steps; keep patient and keep creating. I will send you some prompts I bought via email and maybe those will get more of your creative juices going.
Thank you for playing in my challenge.
