I've seen those faux shutter cards everywhere for a couple of months and this tutorial gave me the nudge to finally make one of my own. The video posted with the challenge was very helpful even for someone like me who rarely does fun fold type cards.
I started with an A2 premade card and came across these two large scraps of Basic Grey pattern paper that coordinated nicely and decided to build the card around them. I dug in the scrap bin and found some green and pink cardstock that matched as well as some black cardstock. I cut the cardstock and the black paper strips according to the tutorial directions, glued in place, and trimmed the edges, then added the pattern papers. I finished by stamping the sentiment (SU, Regarding Dahlias) on some off-white cardstock and cutting it out, then glued in the square. The card looked a little naked so I added a dimensional sticker (Dollar Tree) for a finishing touch. This will go to one of my seniors.
USEIT2023: multiple scraps, including some long-hoarded basic grey paper that finally needed to go. Also used the new-to-me SU set Regarding Dahlias, which I bought off Ebay a couple of months ago, specifically because I liked this sentiment and its font!

A big sentiment works so well with this card design. I like the floral patterned paper paired with the brushstroke green. Funny, that's a BG paper I don't recognise at all and I loved them.

You really chose some lovely papers for your sides, and I love the addition of the flower. The lilac of the center piece really fits so well. Very pretty card!
