As I was watching the tutorial, I realized that I didn't have the appropriate dies to execute the double stamp technique as it was shown. However, I thought that I could achieve a similar outcome by using DSP. To my surprise, the following video demonstrated the same method using DSP.
The card design is quite amusing. I attempted to create a witty message about being a garden alien rather than a garden gnome, but I couldn't come up with anything clever.
If you view the card from any angle other than the correct one, the alien blends into the background. To make him appear three-dimensional, I propped him up with thick foam. I also made his eyes shiny gold to improve his visibility, but he still disappears from sight frequently.
The sentiment on the card reads, "Seeing you is the best part of my day."
I hope that this card brings you joy, although not the best part of your day.
Thank you for 'seeing' my card.

Extremely clever!!!!! I think I remember now that the artist said something about another video with a different twist. I don't think I watched until the end...of course I didn't. I love the idea of the alien blending in with the garden.

What a fun die, and what a clever card!! I think I need to try this too! (Aliens don't celebrate Christmas because they don't want to give away their presence.)

Ok, I have to admit I didn't see your alien at first -- just his eyes. But once I read your description he popped right out at me. What a fun concept. Great execution and a great card.
