This week the Tea Party is papering the blank walls of Waltraud's hospital room with brightly colored backgrounds and lots of big bold blooms. Waltraud is recovering from the effects of several strokes and her daughter, Elke, would like to bring some color and cheer to Waltraud's room while she recovers.
When I need a bright bg, I head for my alcohol inks and typically it's my COPICS reinkers. Today, I used B01, B04, YG01, YG05 on glossy cs. I wanted Waltraud's flowers to be bright and showy, so I pulled out some darker shades for the flowers than I typically use. And since I enjoy watching the birds in my backyard, especially the hummers, I added the die cut hummer as well. We see a lot of Anna's Hummingbirds here. They are mostly green with a vibrant magenta neck. Added a bit of Stickles to some of the flower centers and didn't leave any room for a sentiment so that will go inside.
I bought a new iPhone last week and I thought that would improve my photography -- it hasn't. So, all I can say is that the colors are much deeper, bolder and brighter than the pic shows. I do hope Waltraud will be cheered by all the floral delights soon to arrive at her bedside and that she will feel like she is immersed in her own private garden. And, I hope you all are living boldly and brightly today, too. TFL

I like the sky and grass colours of your background and the flowers are beautiful, but for me the little hummingbird really steals the show.
I've always thought that the iPhones seem to take great pictures. But then, I think my phone camera isn't bad at all but when I transfer to the PC to edit, they look totally different :-( , so I stuck to using my camera.

This is bright and beautiful. I love your background that really highlights your gorgeous flowers. I love Hummingbirds and this one is darling. Waltraud has a lot of beautiful color coming her way.
I've tried taking pictures with my iphone but never have much success. I use my iPad and a daylight bulb. Seems to work the best (for me).

Gorgeous! The flowers are colored/shaded beautifully. The design, the BG, and the die-cut hummingbird are all fabulous. Love how the framing matches the BG. Awesome work...

I bet they're deeper in person...I love those copics colors. The flowers will bring some sunshine to her room and the hummer is a perfect little surprise lurking among the blooms. Very pretty!

Love, love, love those wonderful flowers, the cute humming bird and the gorgeous color combination on this card. A great cheerful card to send to brighten up the room.

I am still using my Nikon to photograph my cards. Clunky but I like the job it does (mostly, ha, ha). I envied you your Anna's hummingbirds. We have the ruby throated ones here but I would love to see an Anna's. Your pile of blooms against that lovely background is superb. What a great composition with the hummer hovering over them.

Wow, what a fabulous background you've created, Debbie! It's perfect to show off those gorgeous blooms! And the hummingbird is such a sweet touch! You've really filled the bill for this Teaparty!
