 | | I made this card for Beverly's TLC challenge: Die Cut Die Cuts, and for Melody's March mixed media challenge.
I had previously made a paper using making tape and gesso (I think) and wrinkling it up. I tried to find the technique I used, but didn't locate it. Anyway, I used this paper and sponged a couple of greens and red inks onto the paper. I die cut out the butterfly, keeping the negative image. I also die cut the body of the butterfly, adding black gems for the eyes.
I dry embossed my velvet paper and glued the butterfly panel onto it, along with the body part. I wrapped cotton lace around the bottom and then glued the whole thing onto my cream card. I added a postage stamp with 3D adhesive dots.
