Mason Jars panel card
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: aztk

 Hello and TFL,
here is the front (haven't attached to base cardstock yet) of a 5x7 card I am making. a PANEL card style where I intentionally added focus to the center panel with a torn edge.
This started with me STENCILING one of the Harvest Dies with Walnut stain and then gray and then Doodled with black marker some bits into the TALL background flowers, center panel.
I recently ran across an OLD youtube for other uses of an Envelope Punchboard and wanted to try the Mason Jar tutorial. Message me if you would like that link, it's Camelia Crafts on youtube.
I layered 2 mason jars of different sizes. One from Grid DSP & Old STASH washi tape at top, the other from a split of the KLEENEX box cardboard to make a thin veneer of CARDBOARD for the smaller water colored jar.
I added FOUNDRY WAX in lines and heated the stripes to make the metallic stripes similar to threads at the top of the jar. It was my very first use of a brand new Ranger Gilded Foundry wax. FUN! Used a sponge paintbrush and ran the edge across to make the lines.

Decided on a panel card with some leftover strips (stash) of this paper and then thought i could add METALLIC thread to increase the Challenge MMJ123 of Metallic. so S U OLD STASH Copper paper on the flower die cut in smaller jar, Foundry Wax heated for metallic finish and Metallic thread. I was shocked I could find three ways to add metallic.
the 3 diff papers are the Flowering Fields panels, The Pumpkin Pie ink stamped with Flannel Plaid S U bg VERY OLD stamp, and The Grid paper used for larger mason jar. MMJ123
Dies, WASHI tape at top of large jar, and OLD stash abundant in this for MMJ223

I'm rambling and wrapping up. Used Astrobright 65lb paper as first back card for lightweight sewing paper. Will mount to a 5x7 S U THICK white card.

hope you enjoyed this card and TAKE GOOD CARE,
Teresa

Teresa this is fabulous and fav’d. I love how you decided to tear one of the strips and the mason jar using a vintage card is awesome. I also like the wax you used on the small jar too. Awesome creation and thank you for playing in the MMJ challenges. Good to see you back. Happy day and hugs
