Her card is on the earliest and last page of her gallery, meaning that it was posted in 2007. What was I doing in 2007?? Well, I was stamping but not posting on SCS...I was probably stalking Janine. Things I kept: candles, the basic layout, ribbon. My card is 5.5" square, different colors, used wood mounted stamps, which maybe she was also in 2007, although her card has no stamps. Besides using up scraps, I am also committed to using my wood mounts. I don't want to spend time taking them off the blocks, I could be stamping instead. I stamped the angels on some wc stash paper with some kind of ink splattered on, then colored them with gel pens. I like to mix metallics so I used both gold and silver. I love the blue handmade paper with the stars, don't have much left, but I can't hoard anymore. Boy did I have a time heat embossing the other background piece. My heat gun has been acting up so I bought a new one and don't like it. First time using it, it doesn't melt very well or very quickly. Crud!
This is also for the February fan club Christmas challenge. Check it out if you're a fan club member and, if you aren't, please join up! Nancy and Angie, thanks for the challenges!

I love metallics with blue and this has that in spades! I too love my wood mount stamps and try to use them regularly. In 2007 I wasn't even lurking on SCS let alone stamping. Your card is beautiful. I love the ribbon tying the card up like a gift!

Yes lots of wood block, light box and stylus for brass stencil embossing or holding it up to the window and embossing folders in my first Spellbinders machine. Thank you for delving way back and making this sweet card

Wonderful design. Love those sweet angels in procession -- reminds me a bit of a St. Lucia parade. Your bgs are fab and I can see why you hoarded the blue. Love how it plays off the larger embossed gold stars on the right. And it looks like you got it all just "right". Super card.

So pretty and I love the angels. I had a chuckle reading your post and Janine's comment about the wood stamps. I still use mine and will probably never change them and Janine was talking about using a light box or the window. Our craft has come a long way.

This is so pretty, and I love how you put so much thought into a challenge. It was fun thinking of our crafting back in 2007. Great take on Janine's card. Thanks for sharing your talent.

So fun you picked a card from 2007 to case. I was probably stalking her then too! LOL.
Your card is super pretty and full of texture and cool techniques. So glad you did a Christmas card too. Hugz

great card. i love your silver ribbon. i'm removing my stamps from their blocks as a project this year. 2 1/2 hours per week to remove and catalog. I'm through the biggest portion. Also USING my paper stash. No more hoarding.
