It came about from some leftovers on my deskâI folded a mini slimline card the wrong way and made it too long for a sheetload set I was working on so had set it aside. Also while making my hydrangea card yesterday when I die cut the darker âskeletonâ part of the leaf I had thought that the center scrap pieces would make good trees if I die cut the skeleton part with brown, cut away the rest of the leaf edge and inlay it to the green part.
So, I started with my mini slimline card base and layered on some very old striped paper. Then I cut another layer from some other older paper (it had a 2011 copyright date) of a sort of woven design in brown. I had some narrow strips of white cardstock left over from cutting up the paper for the sheetload project so decided to use one of those for my top layer. I die cut four of the skeleton leaves, cut away the leaf edge and glued to the cardstock piece, then glued the green scraps in place to form the tree tops. I layered the white piece onto the brown piece and added a piece of sparkly copper washi across the bottom. Very happy with how this turned out!
USEIT2023 - used scraps from yesterdayâs die cutting, some very old pattern paper, and some equally old washi tape.

Beautiful and creative. I love the leaves/trees on this and your layering is fab -- especially that glitter strip. Great masculine card but I think anyone would enjoy receiving this lovely. Very versatile indeed. Great card.
Wonderful card! Very clever idea to use the leftover die pieces. Worked out so well!
Thank you for participating in my Featured Stamper week. I had a wonderful time seeing all the great cards.
