Sweet Polly asked me to be a guest designer for the MIX challenge using cardboard since she knows I am addicted to it, but I left for a crafting retreat, forgot my computer (I borrowed one) and totally forgot to post. Apologies, Polly.
This was super easy. I splattered watercolors on the paper, painted the cardboard, printed the sentiment (it was from the poem on the funeral program), and sponged around the dove (also from the funeral program). Put it all together and wrapped a ribbon around the cardboard. I am sending this to my friend who lost her father recently.
Grab some cardboard and come play with us.

I really love how you incorporated the program into your card..very meaningful. And the painted cardboard is perfect...it shows the versatility of using it...you can make a CAS card with it. Thanks so much for making a sample...i guess i can excuse you for posting late since you were at a crafting retreat...lol.

Wow, beautiful and moving card. I'm impressed how you used the funeral card to make this as I love that dove and that sentiment strip. The painted cardboard adds such a lovely texture. Awesome card. Condolences to your friend.

Exquisite card and how cool to recycle items from the funeral programme. Enjoy your craft retreat. Can’t wait to hear what you made. Hugs

You make your designs sound so simple but the effects are fabulous! Love the beautiful dove, the spattering, the cardboard, and the perfect bow...
