 | | Color Challenge hosted by Mary. Her fun & bright colors are Gorgeous Grape, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie, with the dessert option of Halloween or Fall.
In looking through my stash, I found this Fun Faces stamp set that I have not inked up in probably decades. It brought back memories of stamping with our kids and their classmates when they were in elementary school. The "kids" are all adults now.
I was also inspired by the Sketch Challenge hosted by Ally. I heat embossed three fun faces on DSP in the three colors. Then, I die-cut the faces into circles and then cut the same size circle in a strip of Natural White. I layered on yellow and orange mats, which reminded me of candy corn and then onto a Gorgeous Grape card base.
I forgot to trim the circles in accordance to the sketch before attaching my layers. Rather than try to measure and trim without the edge as a guide, I left them as full circles and inlaid in the openings with the curves going past the border. Just a little creative adjustment not a Halloween trick. The sentiment was die-cut in a curvy banner and popped up. Final touch was black & white gingham ribbon.
Fun challenge and terrific colors! I look forward to seeing what you create. TFL |
