Using Real Red and Garden Green inks with an aquapainter, I attempted to paint in the gorgeous embossed images made with the Poinsettia EF by Sizzix. I added silver acrylic craft paint for the centers of the flowers as well as some splatters. I could not get a decent photo of the entire card front, but holding it at an angle and only trying to capture part of it worked. There is no sentiment or anything else on the front of the card, just the painted embossing. This was my first attempt at this technique. Thanks for looking =)

I'm amazed how crisp and beautiful this turned out! I love this technique but am usually satisfied with less crisp, watercolor-like images. I'm also impressed with how well the acrylic paint worked.

Awesome results from the technique. You did great on your first try! Love the silver painted centers and the splatter. Wonderful use of the challenge colors. Terrific Christmas card.
