Flag is cut out from a magazine picture. To make the pole, I wrapped aluminum foil around a 1/8" paper strip. The knob on top of the pole is a jewel wrapped in foil. I added a streamer of embroidery floss to make it festive. I altered the girl's hat to put her hand under instead of on it, so it would look more like a salute. I cut the wine glass away from the image, but left her finger pointing to the flag. The background is masking with circles--I am not at home, so I had to use the negative dies from a Paper Pumpkin kit for my circles for the Bokeh technique.
BTW--the flag is part of my MIL challenge. I'm caretaking for her this summer and she has been cutting something out of a magazine or her junk mail and telling me to make a card with that...
This is a sample for Lee's Dare to Get Dirty challenge--Bokeh.
