This week we are sending paper hugs to Susan, who is undergoing radiation treatment for breast cancer. So difficult.
Susan loves to camp and I do too -- well I did in my younger days. One of my very favorite things about camping was looking into the night sky away from all the glare of the city lights. The magnitude of those stars and their light is breathtaking. To me, it's one of the most beautiful sights there is.
For my card, I ink blended the Distress Inks and then splattered it with white acrylic paint. I was once gifted with this beautiful dark blue cs which I used for both the trees and the card base. I stacked it with four additional layers of cs to give it a bit of depth. The quote is computer generated using Snowflake font.
Sadly, my "stars" look more like snow, but I hope that Van Gogh quote gives her a clue. And I hope she enjoys looking at the stars as much as I do and that she, too, finds peace and comfort in doing so. I hope you are finding peace in your life right now as well. TFL

FAB card...it's so pretty and does bring to mind the serene beauty and solitude of a sky where you're out in the woods. Well done on that sky...Love the Vincent quote.

This is so pretty. I love your starry night sky. I think your starry night is better than Vincent's!
Thank you for making this for Susan.
EDIT 6/8 - This is beautiful IRL! I'm so glad I got to see it for real. Susan loved it too.

Beautiful. You really captured the wonder and majesty of a starry night sky. And yes, they really are so much better away from city light pollution, aren't they. My physio took his two young boys for a night's camping a couple of weeks ago, and when he had to take the 4-year old to the toilet block in the middle of the night, he said that anyone awake to hear would have heard his lad saying how he liked needing to go to the block because it gave him the opportunity to see nocturnal animals. I had to agree with that, too.
