Gayle's card inspired three birthday cards that need to go in the mail this week. I used the same stamp set, which I do not ink up very often. I followed Gayle's layout with a stamped panel, colored mat on a white card base. (One card was white on white.)
Changes: stamped randomly in black ink, colored images with chalks, added gems and glitter, Happy Birthday popped on top. The sentiments were selected from a bin of pre-stamped and cut sentiments. Good to have on hand for quick cards!
The set of chalks was retired a long time ago. Most of the colors in it are retired, too. I was able to use up some retired cardstock. I had fun with these cards and will do this idea again. Easy to duplicate and make several at once.
Thank you Gayle for sharing your beautiful cards with us and for inspiring mine today!

So beautiful. I love how the images stamped in black and colored pop off the white. Beautiful coloring and cool you used so much stuff from you stash. All three of these are gorgeous. Wonderful set of card,

Beautiful! The stamping is perfect, the chalking is fantastic, and each of the headlines perfectly matches the cards. Very clever and beautifully done...

What a beautiful trio of birthday cards, Diane! This looks like designer paper. I have that stamp set and do not use it often enough, I am inspired by your lovely trio!
