Since I have a free pack of heat activated foil, but no heat pen, I just used a ballpoint pen to draw/press on a purple foil sheet to create the veins -- worked like a charm and didn't rub off!
I got 4 pieces out of my completed background sheet, and this is the third card I made. The edges of the watercolor panel were sponged using Seedless Preserves, and the sentiment was stamped in the same ink.
I colored the paper for the flower petals by smooshing Seedless Preserves ink on my craft mat, spritzing it with water, and then dipping watercolor paper in the puddle and drying it with a heat tool over and over again until the I liked the color layers. From there I die cut all of the flower petal layers from the watercolor paper, edged the tip of each of the petals with Seedless Preserves ink, and shaped the petals using the stylus tools and mat from the Sizzix Shaping Kit. Each layer of petals was adhered using glue dots to add dimension. I added yellow prills with glue in the flower center. TFL!
