I generally followed the process described by limedoodle (Debby Hughes) as she posted on the Simon Says Stamp blog: https://limedoodledesign.com/2022/01...nes-chickadee/ I didn't have all of the same supplies and also wanted a slightly more vintage look so I made adjustments to the design and layout.
I pressed Distress Ink Pads (Antique Linen & Tattered Rose and then Pumice Stone & Frayed Burlap) on my craft mat, spritzed the inks with water, and then repeatedly dipped watercolor paper in the puddles and dried it with a heat tool over and over again until I got the desired layered color look. I die cut the Chickadee body from one watercolor panel and the tail & wing & beak from another panel. Then I cut the cap, eye, and neck piece from black cardstock. I assembled the bird, popping the wing up with foam tape.
I pressed Tattered Rose and Abandoned Coral inks on my craft mat, spritzed them with water, and repeatedly dipped watercolor paper into the puddle and dried it with the heat gun. Then I die cut a stitched heart from the watercolor panel.
I die cut the privet branch from cream cardstock and set it aside. Then I stamped "love" in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with old paper distress embossing powder, heat set it, and cut it out. I stamped "from the heart" using Stone Gray ink on a scrap from the gray-tone watercolor paper used to create the bird's wing & tail & beak and cut it out using a craft knife and clear acrylic ruler.
On a white cardstock base, I adhered a dark gray panel. I cut another slightly smaller panel from white paper and adhered an old torn book page (topic = love) along the left half. I used gesso to lightly paint over the book page. Once dried, I lightly painted over most of the white panel and torn book page with a beige-colored acrylic paint. After that dried, I used a pallet knife to randomly spread crackle paste on the panel. Once that dried, I stamped small hearts using Antique Linen and Tea Dye inks all over the panel and then edged the entire panel in Tea Dye ink. I splattered the panel and the privet branch die cut with watered-down Ground Espresso ink. Finally I adhered the book page panel to the dark gray panel on the card front.
Using dimensional foam tape, I adhered the branch die cut, heart, bird, and words to the card front. Then I added sequins, rhinestones, and pearls. TFL!
