This card is for John, who is on the road to recovery after a nasty accident. We were tasked with stepping out of our comfort zone, and watercoloring is definitely outside mine. The tutorials always look so easy, but not for me! This one was the exception:
I painted the trees and added some wash for the sky/ground, then stamped and heat embossed the car. I also added some white gel pen to the trees to give more definition and the gems to balance the composition.

Watercolor is definitely outside of my comfort zone too. To look at these trees, one would never guess that you're not comfortable with watercolor. What a fabulous card!

Oh wow!! What gorgeous trees, beautifully done. And the vintage car is fab - we used to see ones like that occasionally at rallies. I think I prefer the comfort and safety of a modern car, though.

Wow, your trees look gorgeous. I thought they were stamps til I read your description. Love the whole scene with that wonderful vintage car. Great card and John will surely appreciate every bit of it.

Your trees turned out gorgeous! I favorited your card and plan to look at the video and try it myself, so thanks! Love that classic car, too, and how the green framing picks up the color of the trees. Very lovely card!!
