I love Mary's combo this week and it definitely said floral to me. But I was really stuck - perhaps there were too many choices as I have A LOT of flower stamps!
So I started by looking at my DSP for dessert inspiration and that's when it struck me. I'd go out of my comfort zone (I'm not a huge user of patterned papers) and go all in on the paper! I picked two I liked together and then decided on a flip-it card. The portion for an image is limited and you really need those side panels.
These flowers came with the die for the card base. I added the "hello my friend" from another die set. I thought about using "happy birthday" but I thought this expression more versatile.
After picking the papers, this card went pretty fast. Just a lot of cutting and gluing. After all, my major choices (the colors) were made for me - LOL!
I hope you'll find time to join in the fun this week!

Penny I love your fun fold with your happy flowers! I used to not like to work with patterned paper like you but the older I get the more my brain needs help creating, Lol! The round sentiment on the inside is perfect for your design, love it all!

I love the flip-it cards and this one is so pretty Jeanne- your choice of designer paper is perfect - I like the added touch of gems and the old olive thread.

Awesome flip fold card. The DSPs you selected work beautifully together. I know what you mean about using DSP. I collect a lot of it but struggle to use it.

I had forgotten about Flip cards! I have to pull out my die for those and make some up - cards that do a little something extra are always fun! Pretty papers you've used and I like the big rhinestone centers.

What a fun card someone will be receiving and I know it will make them smile big. Your dps and flowers are so charming and happy. Perfect blending of textures and patterns. I love that you used the "Hello" sentiment instead of birthday. This card is just so friendly it definitely feels like a big warm Hello.
