After I watched the video and painted a few flowers I started wondering if this technique might be a viable option for painting some of the beautiful flower stamps I have. So I took a flower from Remarkable You and stamped it in sky blue Archival ink and then used the technique to paint the flower petals starting a the back and working forward, imaging the entire petals as I painted. I like the result, but I am sure it would look better if I had the patience to let the paint dry completely before adding another layer.

Yes, sometimes watercoloring causes impatience. Ha I sure agree. It is hard to wait for something to dry so I do use my heat gun a good bit. Your flower is just lovely and you did a very good job making it translucent. Plus, the color is so pretty.

Wonderfully done, so very pretty. I am laughing re: letting the paint dry between layers - I know the frustration but give it a go, or dry with a heat gun, you will notice the difference.
Absolutely beautiful! I freehanded mine this week but I plan to do the same! I have so many flower stamps, I need to pull them out and give this technique a try. Your flower in blue is stunning! The fun thing is, I would have never guessed you stamped it! So beautiful!
