After seeing many examples of the scrappy strip technique online, I went to work using up many leftover pieces. Then I came across a blog (only wish I could remember the person who deserves the credit!) where the crafter used a picture cut into strips using the same technique. I had some lovely 6x6 papers and I trimmed them down to fit a 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" piece of card stock which matched the card base. I love this look and the fact that I have a use for all the 6X6 pictures I have in my stash (I now have the measurements down to a science!). I wrapped a coordinating ribbon and added a word die and computer generated tag to finish it.

At first glance I thought the space was twine! Awesome card. Check out Sam Comfort at mixed up craft on youtube. She recently did several beautiful cards with scraps. I need to try this.
