This card was made for two different card challenges. They included a sketch challenge that had the requirement that the image be hand colored, the optionaly to include lace.
I felt the sketch was more of a feminine one, so chose the Stampin' Up! (SU) "Beautiful You" stamp set with its carefree lady dancing in celebration. The accompanying sentiment seemed perfect for a card to send to my Chemo Angels cancer buddy (https://www.chemoangels.com/) to cheer her up.
I started with a light blue card base. I stamped the dancing lady using black ink onto white cardstock. I hand colored her with Copic markers, the die cut her closely with a circle die. Since the image is a rather large one, I didn't want to cut off the bottom as the sketch suggested, so instead left the circle whole and covered the bottom part with a light blue vellum.
The lace strip was glued directly onto the card, then the dancing lady atop that. Then the vellum strip.
The sentiment was stamped in the upper right using black ink. The bow was tied and attached to the card front using a mini glue dot.
The card, once I figured out what I wanted to do was very easy. I am rating its difficulty level as a "2" out of a possible "5". I'm sure my buddy will like it!.
