So November happened. Fast. It's already time for our November Teapot Tickle! Dr. Sonja is our guest hostess this month and she has chosen Zentangle as our challenge. I have never done a zentangle before. I don't like to doodle. Patterns don't flow freely out of my pen or head. But it was nice to be able to come out of my craft room and sit on the couch with my boys while I doodled this background. I had an ivy stamp on my waiting list, so I finally used that. I stamped it three times across the green card base. Then I zentangled all the sections between. We were watching the Packers vs. Colts game, so some of my patterns are inspired by the game. You can see the football field on the top right and over that is loosely inspired by the stripes on their helmets. There's a repeated star pattern at the bottom left and just underneath the sign I illegibly wrote out what the announcers were saying--I actually documented a Colts touchdown there. In conclusion, I did have fun with this.
I just got the stamps in the mail on Friday. Waffle Flower had some grab bags that were too good to pass up. I was really excited to get this stamp, because I like these stamps, but never quite pulled the trigger on them. The scene was fun to color and then I pretty much covered it with Stickles because that's how I roll. Simon Says Stamp Monday â Food and/or Drink

Thanks for the background story. I'm sure your Teapotter will have great fun finding the symbols and reliving the game! I also find it interesting that the game is in the background while the lady lounging in the cup is in the foreground. Kind of like a day dream of relaxation amid the noise. Thanks for playing.

You did a great job Jen. It actually surprised me that you don't like to doodle - somehow I thought that was in your wheelhouse for sure. Your stamped images work well with your background as the look a bit doodled on too.

Wow! Very un-you, I would have guessed Polly. Totally fun. It reminds me of the illustrations in a book of Japanese fairytales/ folk stories I had. All the sparkle is amazing.
